Veggie Beef Patties

I developed these rapid patties utilizing components I had on hand. They make a good meal for a dinner or dinner. Or, you can serve them with barbecue sauce on a bun for a casual lunch or cookout.– Melody Smaller Sized, Fowler, Colorado.

Active Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • In a big bowl, combine the carrot, onion and green pepper. Fall apart beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a big skillet, cook burgers over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or up until meat is no longer pink.
