This simple Lebanese appetizer dish is made with velvety hummus topped with ground lamb cooked in cinnamon then topped with tart pomegranate seeds.
Hummus is among my favorite appetizers for hosting family and friends during the busy holiday. Versatile, crowd-pleasing, and full of fresh flavors– it is always a hit.
As we head through the year I enjoy taking my traditional hummus platter and turning it into a warm and soothing meal. After seeing how popular my Mexican Baked Hummus Dip was with all of you, I understood it was time to share another hot dip: Warm Hummus with Lamb and Pomegranate.
By putting the hot lamb directly from the pan onto the plate of hummus, the dip slowly warms up permitting all of the flavors to really open up. For a burst of sweet taste and a crispy texture, I sprinkle pomegranate seeds and fresh parsley all over the plate prior to serving.
The end outcome? A warm Lebanese hummus dip that nobody can resist. As an included perk, it just so occurs to be naturally gluten free, low carb and high protein.
Your good friends are waiting.
