A hearty and satisfying bowl of steel cut oats are sweetened naturally with juicy strawberries and ripe bananas.

Steel cut oats advise me of my youth. My mommy made them for us regularly and I constantly loved the chewy texture and nutty taste that you simply don’t receive from old made oats. Don’t get me incorrect, I love my old made oats but every now and then I yearn for a hearty, gratifying bowl of chewy steel cut oats.

One note: steel cut oats are not nutritionally remarkable to old made or fast cooking oats. They are simply less processed since they are not rolled flat (into rolled oats) and they are not chopped into smaller sized, much faster cooking pieces like quick-cooking oats. An oat is an oat is an oat.

Have you leapt on the chia seed bandwagon?

Here are a few reasons you need to eat chia seeds:

  • Protein Packed: 20% of the calories from chia seeds are from protein– a much greater quantity than the majority of grains such as wheat and rice. Protein takes longer to digest which keeps you fuller longer and provides you enduring energy.
  • Boost Brain Function: Chia seeds include a great dosage of EFA’s (necessary fats) which have been shown to enhance memory and improve concentration.
  • Energy Boosting: The word “chia” indicates strength in the Mayan language that makes sense due to the fact that the natural mix of protein, fiber and carbs found in chia seeds will offer you the fuel you’ll require all day. This is the factor chia seeds are so popular in the running neighborhood.
  • Rich in Omega-3’s: All of us know that fatty fish like salmon is an exceptional source of omega-3’s however what if you’re not a fan? Chia is an outstanding option and in truth, is the greatest plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids!

Your spoon is waiting.
