Lamb & potato bake

A traditional mix of flavours for a soothing family meal, with simply five active ingredients

Components: 700 g potatoes,400 g lean lamb mince,1 tsp cinnamon,660 g jar tomato pasta sauce,350 g pot ready-made cheese sauce or white sauce, PLUS 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions: Heat oven to 200 C/180 C fan/gas 6. Boil the potatoes for 10-12 mins or up until half-cooked. Drain., On the other hand, heat a little oil in a big non-stick fry pan. Brown the mince in 2 batches, separating any swellings with the back of a wood spoon. Idea all the mince back into the pan, include the cinnamon and fry for 1 min. Gather the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Slice the potatoes as very finely as you can without breaking the slices., Layer the mince and potatoes in a 1.5-litre baking meal. Season each layer and finish with a layer of potatoes. Spread the cheese or white sauce on the top and bake for 35 minutes until golden and the potatoes hurt.
