For those of you who are new to Mystery Dish here is a fast run down. Well, I was the later. I imply cherry pie filling out a savory dish? Common! This month I utilized Lamb, Goat Cheese, Cherry Pie Filling, and Spinach. There are so many different flavors competing in this dish however remarkably they all interact to form one cohesive system. The goat in this meal was the important things that bonded everything together! How to Make Lamb Endives with Cherry Balsamic Sauce

To begin, put 1 cup of cherry pie filling, 2 1/2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper in a small pan. Bring to a boil, then decrease to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring sometimes.

Put sauce in a blender and blend until smooth. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 diced little onion.

Next, include 1 minced garlic clove, 2 teaspoons of sliced fresh thyme, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Saute until there is no more pink and lamb is prepared.

Include 5 oz.

Serve ground lamb mixture on endive cups with fallen apart goat cheese and a drizzle of the cherry balsamic sauce!

Active Ingredients

Ground Lamb Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 little onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh thyme, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 5 oz fresh spinach
  • 1 pound. ground lamb

Cherry Balsamic Sauce:

  • 1 cup of cherry pie filling
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of pepper

Other:

  • 4 oz of goat cheese
  • 2 bunch of endives

Directions

  1. Put cherry pie filling, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small pan. Bring to a boil, then decrease to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring periodically.
  2. Put sauce in a blender and blend up until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Saute until translucent, around 5 minutes.

  4. Next, add minced garlic clove, chopped fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Saute for 30 seconds.
  5. Include ground lamb.
  6. Include fresh spinach to lamb mix. Stirring for 2-3 minutes till spinach wilts.
  7. Serve ground lamb mix on endive cups with fallen apart goat cheese and a drizzle of the cherry balsamic sauce.
